So I am really confused about the opposition in Syria? Are they several groups, varying in degrees when it comes to terrorism and extremism?

Is ISIS amongst the opposition that was fighting Asad, so would we say ISIS won now?

They're not quite ISIS but rather a coalition that's centred around an ISIS splinter that isn't as openly batshit insane.

I think what does matter is they're still Islamists, and they're backed by Turkey who certainly have designs on the region.

@CountScrofula That sounds about right which is why quite confusing and not very promising too.

@BittersweetPotato All I can hope for now is stability for the Syrians and I bet more war will come. I'm heartbroken about the fate of the Kurds as well.

@CountScrofula The kurds have been always oppressed, under all types of rulings and not just in Syria. They were never allowed to keep their identity, language and they had no rights. Yes I could feel it. More war, instability and blood. Israel is already bombing Syria!
@CountScrofula Actually the guy who is being presented as the liberator of Syrian Al-Jolani has literally been part of both ISIS and Al Qaeda and are just on their 3rd of 4th rebrand.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Yea I know. I guess the key that he was as such in the past and not now. Not that I am buying it but just saying .
@BittersweetPotato Nothing has changed. Just a name change and maybe a cool new banner to wave around.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I know, most likely
@BittersweetPotato And in case anyone is wondering where his loyalties are his men are on video putting up Turkish flags all over the place. So somehow I doubt he really cares much about Syrians and especially Syrians that might share even a slight difference of opinion.
