"hash it out" means "work it out," and "hash" is a reference to hashbrowns. it's a pun lol. :)

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether yeah "hash it out" is like ... when you are making a skillet breakfast with whatever you can find & it's kinda a crazy process with everything coming together, you just have a random mix of stuff coming together to make a meal out of. so "hashing it out" is working with whatever "flies into the pan," so to speak, whatever situation you might find yourself in, you just "hash it out". work with what you've got to make something from it.
