Dumb question: would a pizza without cheese still be called a pizza? 👀

I think its just bread with sauce and all the other items at that point isn't it?

Exactly! So it's the cheese that makes it a pizza :)

@starz93: I would think so.. after all you can have nothing but cheese and still call it a Cheese Pizza.

@starz93: In Italy, where pizza originates from, many pizza's do not have cheese at all... So I would have to respectfully disagree with that. Albeit, of course, words do change meaning especially when loaned to new languages, but personally I would recognize any pizza with the shape and probably the tomato sauce as a pizza. Second question, if the commercially made pizza is made with some kind of cheese-substitute instead of real cheese, is it still a pizza? ;)
