In my langauge (Dutch) it is called pindakaas, litterally peanut cheese. Back in the old days, the name butter was protected specificly for dairy butter, and was not allowed to use for other than that. So they came up with the next product in line and that is cheese. So we eat peanut cheese instead of peanut butter.
