all the time. Just ruined my reputation at my new workplace as well because I have no sense of proper/appropriate human interaction. Most people would have to make a lot of effort to ruin their image like this, but I can achieve it so effortlessly. Strange talent.

Goodbye letters of recommendation, I suppose. Goodbye good career opportunities. Flew so high to fall back so hard.

I say things awkward all the time.

Then i stumble on my words and just make it worse.

Yes. A lot of things, most that I don’t even remember specifics to. It got me shunned for years. Family stopped talking to me because I started pointing out and calling out everything. I missed weddings and almost missed meeting my nephew, they missed my health tanking the first time around, etc.

Well...once, driving home from Michigan with my mother...(and she was undergoing major hormonal disruption from menopause), she was wailing about how rude my brother and his partner had been. And I couldn't help myself. I said, "Well, nobody LIKES you."

So, just as she had done my entire life, she hauled off and smashed me right across the face. I can't say that I regretted saying it, though. ☺☺☺

Yes, the truth , in front of 300-350 coworkers in the form of a pointed question to a top level administrator in an open meeting.
