One night, sleeping at my grandmother's house in her scary basement

My brother and I kept seeing these little dark shadows, creeping along the walls.

It was nearly pitch black, so we almost weren't sure if we were just imagining it. We were very young, and pretty scared!

My brother got up, and turned on the lights, and in a flash, all of the dark things ran behind all of the picture frames. (My grandmother had many certificates and things on one wall.

My brother lifted a frame and behind it was a huge fkin wolf spider 😖

We went upstairs to sleep 😌

I thought it would be roaches. I’d be relieved to see a wolf spider.

@Straylight I've only seen roaches a few times in my life, and they were super tiny!

@Straylight they get biggish here too, I think. But only exist in really yucky places. I moved into one apartment where I saw them occasionally at first (the previous tenant was disgusting), but then stopped seeing them

@caccoon I never had one on me that I’m aware, but I know they’ll crawl right on you. Especially if you’re sleeping. That’s why I’ll take a wolf spider any day. They’re big, but they keep to themselves and avoid contact with people.
