20 dollars for a can of coffee at walmart now thanks to the Trump Tax. Give it a month and it will probably be 30 bucks!

It's about time snooty elitists buying coffee in cans do their part to pay their fair share of paying down the national debt. If your taste is so refined that you can appreciate stale, pre ground coffee, you can buy Hawaiian coffee and be a patriot

@Khenpal1 I saw that. Ain't no way in h3ll 3 pounds of coffee beans are worth that much. $53 a pound?

Most coffee is no where near that.

It all tastes like burnt water. What is wrong with say the $15 a pound French roast coffee? At what point does it become "Diminishing returns"?

@come2gether On the rare occasion I drink coffee, it is typically folgier's or whatever is at the gas station.

Am I a snooty elitist buying coffee in cans people? :D

@Strictmichael75 Before the US announced a 50% tariff on Brazilian coffee imports, prices were trending downward. From January to July, arabica and conilon prices in Brazil fell 25% and 47%, respectively – driven by Brazil’s current harvest and optimistic global supply outlooks, especially in Brazil and Vietnam.

Since the tariff announcement, market volatility has increased, likely due to buyers seeking alternative origins. So far, no cancellations of existing contracts have been reported, but new purchases have stalled. Both exporters and importers are awaiting clarity. It is still too early to assess the long-term effects, as it will be crucial to observe whether the tariff is fully implemented and how long it remains in effect. This measure could reshape international coffee trade flows, with implications for producers, exporters, and consumers.

I received and email from the company from whom we buy coffee pods that they are having to adjust prices due to the tariffs. Also prices at the grocery store for things like milk are at least 33% higher. In this case a container of milk that is less than a gallon went from $5.00 to $7.00 and that's only that one item. All the costs have gone up and supplies and variety are going down. Also was looking for RAM for a PC yesterday, no kits of a certain size are available from ANY source. I'm seeing more items "sold out". The tariffs are starting to have a real time effect on prices and it's not insignificant.
