True, it’s just a big increase in a short period of time.
@FredElliot Kind-of like the price of gold, a big increase in a short period of time.

I still don’t really think £6.29 is particularly expensive but when I order McDonald’s to my house it costs about £22 just for me. I guess it’s the cost of living these days.

@Gingerbreadspice Or, and just hear me out here, you could just go and pick it up yourself if you're able to and save the delivery fee.

@gandalf1957 Can’t remember but yes it’s still warm.

@Vin53 Yes it’s a concept that’s all been done before.

It is called inflation and is due to rising costs of food and staff costs .....

@gandalf1957 Not many British people in the 1970s would have been factoring the luxury of fast food and takeaway into their household budget . .
gandalf1957 · 61-69, M
@SunshineGirl no but they saw consistently rocketing prices throughout the late 60s and entire 70s. If I remember correctly new car prices for example went up more often than once a year
MrGomco · 36-40, M
Prices were rising progressively. Nothing like making your own breakfast at home, nothing like not having children due to the high cost of living. Haha.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
You would be able to get Two McMuffins, 2 Hash browns and the coffee for that price here. Give or take a dollar.

Eat at home. You’ll eat healthier and save money.

I like hashbrowns

Prices going up all the time
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
McDonalds is not for for human consumption. Maybe the British ones offer real food instead of science projects.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
@Crazywaterspring agreed.
