What do you think of the infamous McDonald’s “no quit policy”?

Where apparently they don’t allow a worker to quit until they’ve spoken to a manager or regional supervisor.

From what I've just read, it's just one franchise/location that did that, not a McDonald's company wide policy

Irrespective of any means to legally keep workers like that, intimidating people into staying can work
