No nothing like maple syrup. I bought a jar on clearance to try it because it’s pricey otherwise. It’s sweet, can be used in place of other syrups for example if you are a Vegan you can still have rice syrup instead of honey. I see Vegan recipes sometimes calling for it.
@cherokeepatti Many vegans use maple instead of honey, but I guess that may be a better alternative! I love maple syrup, very tasty, so maybe will just use it
@BittersweetPotato I think maple syrup might be hard to find in some places. Plus it’s also expensive here but might not be so expensive elsewhere. Rice syrup is thicker than maple syrup too, more like caramel syrup.
@CountScrofula So my korean chili paste arrived yesterday, so I went and bought maple syrup to do the recipe soon.. Out of how much I was excited, I dreamt that the maple syrup I bought suddenly had no colour as I was pouring into the pan and did not taste good (did not taste like maple syrup) and I was telling you; this doesn't taste good, THIS DOESN'T TASTE GOOD 🤣🥔
@bijouxbroussard I did in fact look on Amazon US and I found only one entry and it was out of stock :( I do have access to amazon US.. Actually just ordered a bunch of stuff from there for my travel
