I tried curry for the first time tonight 🍛

A local restaurant has brought Indian food onto its menu and tonight was the grand premiere for it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go, so I asked Desmond if he’d be interested. Neither of us have ever really had Indian food, so we decided to give it a try. He ordered a lamb tikka masala, but I’ve always wanted to try curry, so I ordered a chicken curry with naan. 🫓 I really enjoyed it! It was delicious and now I wish I had tried it years ago. I let Des try some of it and he was impressed as well. Said he’s getting that next time, lol. He enjoyed his dish too. He let me try some and I’ll have to get it for myself sometime. But that curry, consider me a fan! 😋

I crave curry. Not only is it delicious but it is healthy with all those spices. It was something I was craving was on chemo and had lost a lot of weight. I had colon cancer and thought it wasn’t safe for me to consume hot spicy foods. I finally gave in to my craving and went to a Thai restaurant and tried a red curry made with a coconut milk base. It didn’t hurt me and in fact helped to stimulate my appetite for the rest of the week. So I began eating it often enough to start gaining weight again. If you like coconut try Thai curry. They usually ask what heat level you want so in the beginning it doesn’t have to burn and the coconut milk helps to protect my stomach plus it has healing properties.
