I like Indian and Middle Eastern food but legit there's times I can't tell if I am eating seasoned food or food flavored seasoning

What's the difference?
MethDozer · M
@GlitterEater seasoning isn't food
MethDozer · M
@GlitterEater Like sometimes I eat a dish and feel like I ate more tumeric and cumin than actual meat and veggies

Mmmm I'm hungry, tiki masala sounds scrumptious

I mean...aren't Indian and Middle Eastern food quite different? Like you don't get much curry in Lebanese dishes, and you're not gonna get manakish ya lubna in Indian cuisine.

@basilfawlty89 Spice and seasoning heavy. They're similar culinary traditions

@MethDozer not really, dude. Falafel, gormeh sabzi, kebabs, hummus, tahini, etc. is Middle Eastern. You don't really find much curries or masala. It's closer to Greek cuisine.

@basilfawlty89 some of it and some if it doesn't isn't. The point just being heavy spice and seasoning often to the point of excessive
