People of the UK: Do you leave a tip at restaurants?

Somewhat nicer places are starting to add a ‘discretionary’ 12.5% charge to the bill, and then if paying digitally a separate screen pops up requesting a tip on top. The second request seems a little excessive.

It has to be pretty bad for me not to leave a tip but I hate that discretionary charge thing, I base my tip on the level of service and the food, I don't like to be essentially dictated to as to how much that should be.
