People of the UK: Do you leave a tip at restaurants?

Somewhat nicer places are starting to add a ‘discretionary’ 12.5% charge to the bill, and then if paying digitally a separate screen pops up requesting a tip on top. The second request seems a little excessive.

Yeah, hospitality staff work really hard and they don't get paid a lot for it. It's stressful work so Im happy to tip and tends to be younger people working who need that money more than most.
