How much do you tip at Restaurants?

At least for Americans, how much do you normally tip? Also for non-Americans, does your country usually have tips?

15% for standard service, 20% for good, 25% for excellent. i'm in the U.S., so i know that they will be taxed according to sales and that they don't make jack per hour
