I didn’t realize he was on the phone. He smiled and said, "cool, something I enjoyed eating yesterday. I’ll still like it." As I went back in the kitchen, I heard him say, "naw, Sis can burn." I had prepared a pot roast this week, and it turned out pretty well. I cut up what was left, chopped and roasted some potatoes, made more gravy, and it was ready.
@bijouxbroussard I looked that up and the first dozen choices were about bitcoins and stuff. I learned there was a variety called stable coins, about which I am skeptical. I clicked on ‘more results’ and finally figured out what AAVE is, in this context, anyway. Fortunately I understood ‘vernacular.’
Personally, I like leftovers, which is good because sometimes I cook like I’m feeding a full table instead of one person.
