We have already entered it with that first cold front from the Arctic that blew in here in Oklahoma about a week and a half before September started. I’ve made Thai chicken Tom Kha soup, Red curry soup, Leek & Potato Soup, Chicken & Veggie soup, Basil-Tomato soup (from scratch like the rest), planning on making Red Lentil with Carrot & Sweet Potato, Meatball with Cinnamon & Rice in Tomato Soup, Lentil Chili, Chicken Wild Rice soup, Italian White Bean Soup, and many others in the fall and winter. Whatever you are hungry for make it. I have saved dozens of soup recipes in my Pinterest account and hope I can make some of those soon too.
@cherokeepatti Wow...🤤

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Making a large variety of soups is right up on top of my bucket list these days. I saw the leeks for sale in the produce section of Winco and thought of how long I had been curious about what that soup would taste like. Glad I bought them. If I find them again I might make another pot of it. Seems like leeks have a very short season here to be sold in grocery stores.
@cherokeepatti I didn't eat leeks until I was a grown-up and I'm glad I tried it too because it's such a versatile vegetable; it can go with many other foods. We have it year-round here, fortunately. I also use leeks with Zucchini, I cut them up , with half a green pepper and boil them together then use the hand blender, boil some more and add heavy cream (the cooking kind , not for sweets) and it 's so pleasantly delicious☺
