This Looks So Good, The Photo Is Inspiring Me To Make It Even Without A Recipe I Think I Can Make It…

Gluten-free version with brown rice spaghetti as a substitute.

Yum, looks delicious. I've never tried brown rice spaghetti, but I bet it adds a nice flavor.

I’m yet to find gluten free spaghetti that cooks good.. not sure if we have that in the UK but I’ll be sure to look.

@DHggmu I get the brown rice GV Walmart brand and it is good, as is the macaroni and other brown rice products. White rice is not nearly as good in pasta at least to me anyway. I also like brown rice Thai noodles to put in chicken soup, could make Pad Thai with them too. Aldi was selling them and I should have bought up every package as they were marked $1.25 each. About half or even less of what other brands are.
I have found some good GF pastas out there. Hard to tell the difference

@Sojournersoul GV brown rice spaghetti is good in texture and taste and very low priced compared to what you can find at health food sites and stores. I also bought the brown rice macaroni. The texture holds up well and is not hard like some of the other blends. And the nutty flavor of brown rice is a bonus.

try the cauliflower spaghetti. it is delicious
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@akindheart no way…me and cauliflower parted ways a couple years ago. Causes bloating and other digestive distress. I think it’s the sugar alcohol that is in it. I can’t tolerate it or pit fruits and some other foods that are supposed to be healthy now. I even have to limit how much broccoli I eat down to a very small portion. It used to be a favorite
akindheart · 61-69, F
@cherokeepatti i am sorry to hear that. listen to your body...which you do.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@akindheart It’s not worth the gastric distress that takes days to heal afterwards. I had to learn to not eat a lot of different foods that I used to love. Peaches, cherries, plums, nectarines among them…cherries is the hardest one. Add these foods to the gluten ones I can’t eat and it’s a lot. I miss cooking with barley even more than I miss wheat. Beef-barley vegetable soup, homemade, was a comfort food for me in the winter.
I believe sugar alcohols naturally present in some fruits, veggies, and beans are the culprit in this latest dietary challenge. It sucks but I still have a lot of other options.

Just looked in the freezer, we don't have chicken but could be done with pork chops
Wow, that looks like something my wife would cook, it looks tasty!
I just choose to eat it cause I cut out wheat
It does look good.
