Who wants some???

My kids and I went out and picked rhubarb and then we came home and made a rhubarb crisp.

I would share with you all if I could. I cut up and cleaned the rest of the rhubarb and now my hands are aching, stupid arthritis.

It was worth it though. I also love making rhubarb custard pie but I make home made pastry and that was just too much for my hands today.

@Barny52 very similar, my topping has oats in it.

Our lass also adds oats when she makes one @iamonfire696

@Barny52 it’s a crisp then. Crumble has no oats.

@iamonfire696 no no no it’s still a crumble we don’t have a crisp here in uk xx a crisp comes in a bag with salt here, o it gets so confusing !!!

@Barny52
A crisp is extremely similar to a crumble in that it is a baked dessert made with fresh fruit and a crumbly streusel-esque topping. Originally, the difference between a crumble and a crisp, however, was an ingredient used in the topping: crisps would contain oats and crumbles would not. In an actual crisp, as in apple crisp or strawberry crisp, the oats in the topping crisp up as it bakes, hence the name.

I know you refer to chips as crisps though right?
