50 years ago this month I had a severe eye infection that swelled the eyelid shut into the size of a grape.

Because we lived in a cult at the time, I didn’t get actual medical treatment for it… Just warm herbal compresses and what have you. I’m only just now processing that this is the reason I’m blind in that eye.
