If you enjoy avocados....

A new Aussie variety.... Taste is supposed to be great.. With the added advantage of coming in around 1.3 kg each and, ta dah, don't go brown for several days after being cut ......

Curious why they don't go brown. Doesn't seem natural.

An avocado that doesn't turn brown is called a "non-browning avocado" and is typically achieved through genetic modification, where scientists have edited the avocado's genes to disable the enzyme responsible for browning when exposed to air; this process is often referred to as a "gene-edited avocado" and is currently being researched by companies like GreenVenus, allowing the avocado flesh to stay fresh longer without browning.
