What is the weirdest fruit or vegetable you've ever tried?

@4meAndyou Those are expensive and I wonder why anyone would pay that much for such a fruit as they probably don’t taste any better than red grapefruit or oranges. Have you ever had a pomelo? They have a very nice aroma. I think I paid a bout $2 for one out of curiosity of what they tasted like after smelling one. It was like a large grapefruit but about half the fruit had a really thick rind on it. It was delightful to peel and smell that aroma, they should make an essential oil that smells that way. I am sure that’s the appeal of those pomelos. Right now I have a bag of blood oranges, they have a very short market time here, usually late winter for maybe 6 weeks and lucky if I find a store selling them. They can be very intimidating if you don’t like the color of blood. Some have more blood red patches than other ones. The really darkest ones can turn a squeamish person’s stomach. I think they should call them by another name like burgundy oranges or something.
