Speaking of Nancy Pelosi and her company, Del Monte, don't ever buy their fruit cocktail.

I've had cheap, lousy store brand fruit cocktail, but Del Monte hit a new low. This is not a fruit cocktail you can just serve chilled straight from the can.

You have to pick through it first, and remove all the stems from the little grapes...I found seven with stems in ONE can...and then you have to watch out for the brown crunchy bits on the diced peaches.

Sounds like a good reason to shop at Aldi's or Walmart's Great Value products :)

Hmmmm????? on reflection, I've only been inside a normal supermarket but maybe 3 or 4 times in the past 2 years. And that's at the high end supermarket to buy fresh meat and Trader Joe's for some of their frozen items. Everything else is delivered from Walmart or a quick stop at Aldi's.

@Heartlander Walmart's Great Value fruit cocktail is almost identical to the Del Monte fruit cocktail. I've tried both of them, but Great Value, while it might have crunchy brown bits on the diced peaches, NEVER had stems on the grapes.

Oh Lordy, I didn't even realize the ties between them. I'm not surprised, in the least, that quality isn't part of the business motto. Another label/brand added to the boycott list. Thanks for making me aware.😉

@revenant Yes. She and her husband own Del Monte, and the farms for that are located in American Samoa. Two years ago Nancy passed a bill through congress that removed all taxes from the "poor downtrodden farmers of American Samoa." 🙄🙄🙄
