What do you think ofThe French President said he will ban social media use for kids under 15yo.

Have there been studies about this? If kids are more precocious because they’re exposed to more social media early does it make them smarter more productive more happy?
Or is it the opposite?

I'm not really convinced about the necessity of banning social media for youth. Usage or restriction should be up to the parents. What governments should be focusing on more is smartphone/tablet/computer use at an early age and the impact it has on nearsightedness (myopia), because that trend is progressing into a serious global medical issue. A significant portion of the youth now is scheduled to have serious eye issues at a later age. That should receive far more attention than whether or not they use social media at a young age.
