Not even donuts deserve to be wasted like this 🫤

My sister who loves donuts (even though she's in great physical shape) shared this on her social media with the caption "I didn't need to see this 💔"

I see their reasoning for not just giving them away at the end of each day, but come on... There has to be a better way than just tossing them in the trash. So wasteful.

Yes they should give it to charity at least. I used to work a pizza restaurant when I was a teenager and the manager would give any of the mistake pizza's to some homeless shelters in the city. That's the way it should be

@SlippingAway Some people on that video replying to comments suggesting the same are saying that's a liability if people get sick eating unhealthy food. Which is another fair reason, I guess, but damn... At least decrease the amount of donuts you make every day so it's at least not as wasteful. Something. 😕

@Ducky I get that, but as long as you are responsible with the food items you shouldn't have to worry about that too much. People buy day old bakery items all the time. I just don't feel the liability would be that high, but that's just me

It's nauseating to see tbh. I know it's unhealthy food but still food and could serve much better.

Btw, I've seen twice in the cake shop nearby how some people came and bought a box full of what looked like failed cakes and leftovers for a low price. They could sell it like that too.

I fucking love donuts. I would hate that.. Now I'm gonna have to go to the Dunkin'. Donuts near me and wait for them to throw there stuff out.

40% of all food processed in the United States is wasted at the end of each day including fresh fruits and vegetables, so why would cheap donuts that are full of trans fats and refined sugar be any different?

This percentile quoted equates to 1.5 pounds of food wasted per person per day across the USA which further equates to 30 to 40% of America's total annual food supply that goes directly into the garbage can AFTER it's been purchased.
