I regret taking expired eyedrops

Since last weekend, my eyes have nearly regressed to before I took them (when they were still new) with all the symptoms of dry eye syndrome. It's been a few days since I threw it out and made sure I'm more hydrated, which has helped a lot in alleviating those symptoms.

Today I've decided not to deliver for UberEats because the lower half of my body hurts so much I can barely use the stairs. I'm also not going to deliver tomorrow because it'll be the hottest day of this 3 day heatwave. So without the wind, dehydrating foods, and intense lights (sun and flourescent), I should recover much faster over these next 2 days.

If my eyes don't fully recover by the end of this weekend, I'm gonna have to consider getting new eyedrops again. I've also gonna cut my eyelashes because they've grown too long, but I won't cut them as short as I did the 1st time.

You need to be seen asap. It is unlikely related to an expiration date. It could be that the drops are contaminated, there was a major recall of a brand. I am a clinical toxicologist, so I am not just blowing smoke!
@samueltyler2 there was a recall of Systane Ultra? I've already seen an ophthalmologist and optometrist before a few months back; i don't have anything serious, but I was given that eyedrop(s) and prescription for new glasses

@uikakarotuevegeta yes, I think that was the brand. My opthalmologist actually gave me samples of those. I use a single use one sold by Costco in bulk.
@samueltyler2 just checked and it's preservative free variants with expiry date of September 2025; mine have preservatives and it expires (when unopened) in September 2027

@samueltyler2 it's still gonna take a few days for me to meet with an ophthalmologist anyways, even if I go to the hospital or walk-in clinic to check my eyes out

@uikakarotuevegeta good luck, i hope it is not anything serious.
