What's the deal with all those ebikes delivering food?

Are ppl really this lazy they don't want to go get their food themselves?
I don't get it!

I think the number of people with social anxiety is higher than we think. They don't have to leave their homes to get a simple meal anymore.

Covid did create an entirely new sector of jobs in the food delivery market, that hardly existed on a large scale prior.

In the UK they are everywhere. They wait outside restaurants and also grocery shops and seem to deliver 24/7. One was delivering cat food. Quite a few people now have a Macdonalds meal delivered to work for their lunch.

One of my relatives can no longer get out much after a long illness. He uses the food delivery service often.

@LadyBronte that's the exception, but healthy ppl are too lazy to get their own food.
