Commercial eggs in the US are now essentially washed and pasteurized, samonella occurs on the outside of the shell, which are sterilized, thus making your tube of nestle toll farm cookie dough safe. However, IF you buy eggs from a farmer at a farmer's market, you'll have to wash them first and do a 5 second drench in boiling water before making your own cookie dough to consume, so enjoy all you want.
