I enjoy food and cooking. My specialty is eating. Foods can invoke memories and emotions as most of us have some food memories from our youth.
Most family gatherings center around food, and even so with friends as well. There are foods associated with every holiday. Most of us remember the meals we had on holidays as children.
I am from Texas where jalapenos are a food group. We like things a bit spicy and chips and salsa make a perfect birthday gift. A lot of world problems can be solved standing around a grill or smoker, with a cold bottle of beer. If we could get our enemies to gather around the grill under a shade tree and chug a bottle of beer with us, we might just have fewer enemies. It is hard to argue with your mouth full.
