Chiara and I have been working in the kitchen this afternoon
She is now at her Wednesday evening piano lesson and I have been cleaning up after we have been preparing various vegetarian meals to freeze 🥶 and keep for later in the month.
It’s a habit I got into with batch cooking to keep freshly cooked vegetables and pasta ready to be used in special situations.
Ordinarily I cook each day, but if I am out with my work or friends there are meals that Chiara can get ready for herself and her Nonna if she hasn’t eaten prior to coming over to sit my daughter.
Chiara likes learning new menus, new recipes she hasn’t learnt before and she welcomes the chance to spend time with me doing such a good and constructive thing.
