Dear diary…

It’s been a trying start to the day. I miss carbs.

It’s been 11 hours without having any breads and my body is revolting.

Give me strength to enjoy this salad sans croutons.

When I cut gluten, I was starving, weird and weak for about 4 days. Then I felt so much better and still do. It's strange, the mind-gut connection.

@faery I probably should cut gluten too. But I’m starting with breads because that’s easier. Eventually will work my way to starches and then something.

Thanks for that!

@faery The mind-gut connection is crazy powerful, something I didn’t even think about until my 40’s. It’s why probiotics became a must have for me. You just feel that better on the daily. It’s crazy.

@PerfectionOfTheHeart It is crazy. I read a lot about it nowadays.

I keep forgetting to take my probiotics. Thanks for the reminder. Our digestive systems are the key to a lot of our health/immunity.

@faery I think it’s wheat-withdrawal that causes a person to feel bad when they first go off of gluten. I wasn’t eating but a small amount but it was causing me to have sharp stabbing pains in my hip joints. I went cold turkey and for about 24 hours I felt like I was coming down with the flu. After that it stopped and I felt good.
