Ho do you all make taco salad? Apparently mine is weird

In my family we never made ours mixed together with that sweet dressing and black olives and doritos to get mushy. That seems to be the how most people make taco salad. In my family we always made ours ground beef, corn, black beans seasoned up with a taco seasoning packet and we spooned it over into individual bowls of bagged salad mix and cheese and doritos crushed up and we add cucumbers and cherry tomatoes and we do ranch dressing with hot sauce mixed in to make spicy ranch. We always used crystal brand hotsauce. I still make mine that way except I used plant based meat or just do extra black beans
