What is "oregano pepper" ? It’s an ingredient in a recipe I’m trying…

I know what oregano is, and have some, but I’m not sure this is that. And I have regular pepper. The other ingredient is soy sauce; it’s a shrimp marinade.

The search engines only seem to recognize oregano.

It's neither Oregano nor pepper. It's widely used in Mexican cuisine. Are you making pozole or menudo.

You should be able to find it in a neighborhood Tienda. You can ask for orégano mexicano, or orégano silvestre or orégano del campo.
