I just love to cook and try to make everything, from scratch.

Some things, are cheaper to buy.

I just delve into so many aspects, it's hard to pin down, anything!!!

@Oster1 some things are cheaper to buy but the ingredients in them are sketchy. American sliced bread usually has “dough conditioner” listed as an ingredient but that’s code for duck feathers or human hair, the protein in it keeps the bread from getting hard after baking. Some of the ingredients they add are not good for health either. Homemade soups are so much better than anything store bought, and you can season your foods to suit your taste.

@cherokeepatti You are so correct!!! I'm very cautious on ingredients, as well.

For example, I love all mustard's, but simple Yellow Mustard, cannot be be made, for 69 cents, for 16 oz.

I literally, as a hobby , try to make everything I can, from scratch.

@Oster1 mustard is pretty good if it doesn’t have yellow dye in it, the turmeric should be sufficient for color.

@cherokeepatti Agree! I make loads of homemade soup, it's much better and cheaper than tins especially when I get reduced-price veg e.g. a big pack of leeks for 10p instead of £1 👏👏👍😆

@Fluffybull You are an excellent cook. I so much enjoy your photo's!😋

@Oster1 Aw, thank you! 🤗 But soup isn't difficult, I don't even bother with a recipe, just chop everything up and bung it in a pan 👍😊

@Fluffybull that’s what I started doing when I’d decided to stop buying processed soups. I can even make cream of mushroom to cook with if I want and it’s a whole lot tastier made with fresh ingredients than the canned type.
