Cedar Plank Salmon [I Love Cooking For People I Love]

One of my favorite things to cook. Water soaked cedar plank with a salmon filet on it and cooked over a charcoal fire, the smell is divine as it cooks.

A southern bbq sauce lightly coated on the salmon pairs well with the smokiness from the cedar.

I skip the soaking part then toss it (after it goes out) - are you able to reuse it?

@fun4us2b no, one side of the plank is scorched

@Laughoften Good to know - without soaking it burns but doesn't flame and I think adds to the smokey flavor..just have to be careful bringing inside while it's burning...

@fun4us2b exactly, soaked for over an hour just smokes and not catches a fire, thus not destroying the filet
