I Like to Cook

I received an unexpected gift this weekend. A recipe book that I've wanted for some time now 'An egg is a fortune' was given to me. I am absolutely thrilled to have received it and am looking forward to trying a few recipes and soaking up some of my heritage.

I love cookbooks! I can go through recipes like novels. Sometimes the older the better and although they may call for lard I usually try not to alter it. After all, the rates of disease have gone UP not down from those days. One "real" stick of butter is much preferable than a tub of chemicals. All in moderation. Cooking is something I do well and I hope to write my own cookbook someday. I have learned to assemble things with complete confidence in the end product. After all that reading maybe I am fooling myself and just have things memorized...lol. Congrats on your find!
