Felt old today . Tech had me beaten

Went to a n independent cafe in Oxford , one I have visited before. Found a table and waited
To be served .
Then I noticed a little s square sign on the table.
“ Please order and pay using the QR code “
I know what is is but have never used it before .
Embarrassed I left.
Need to install this 😉

Do you think they would have refused to serve you if you had just asked for coffee?

Requiring you to pay online would be illegal where I live, Norway. Permanent shops have to accept cash.

@ninalanyon The customer seating was upstairs and the staff were downstairs, so there was no opportunity for a discussion.
