Ah yes, the morning coffee routine... it makes waking up worthwhile. My first cup or two is a hurry-up and get the caffeinated thing going, so I use an older Keurig which instead of using pods, I use a filter basket and paper filter and fresh ground coffee beans of a medium dark roast.
After cup two and about the time I have breakfast, I use my espresso maker and fresh ground darker beans to make a nice macchiato.

@Howudoin It does take a bit of playing and I've got it down to a 50/50 mix of a dark Italian roast and 7 out of 10 dark Italian roast beans finely ground and .75 ounces of the oat milk steamed but not frothed, with a quarter teaspoon of sugar and it's as close to heaven as I'll ever get.
