Morning here and time for coffee!

What kind of coffee maker/process do you like to use?

Ah yes, the morning coffee routine... it makes waking up worthwhile. My first cup or two is a hurry-up and get the caffeinated thing going, so I use an older Keurig which instead of using pods, I use a filter basket and paper filter and fresh ground coffee beans of a medium dark roast.

After cup two and about the time I have breakfast, I use my espresso maker and fresh ground darker beans to make a nice macchiato.

@Ontheroad save the best for last, nice!

@Howudoin Coffee is for me, like many others, a religious experience😁

My latest experiment has been to use thick/creamy oat milk to steam for the macchiato... it adds just a little bit of different flavor and sweetness to it and I'm enjoying it.

@Ontheroad that would take some experimenting to get the flavor balance right

@Howudoin It does take a bit of playing and I've got it down to a 50/50 mix of a dark Italian roast and 7 out of 10 dark Italian roast beans finely ground and .75 ounces of the oat milk steamed but not frothed, with a quarter teaspoon of sugar and it's as close to heaven as I'll ever get.

Being retired allows time to enjoy the finer things in life.

@Ontheroad good for you bro!

@Ontheroad what espresso machine do you have, because mine is about as fast as a Keurig, for making an Americano anyhow
