Can smells live in your nose and come out unexpectedly?

I'm smelling coffee brewing. Very strong and unmistakable but there isn't any brewing 😳

😳....did you spill some on your shirt earlier or yesterday?... i do that sometimes and im left wondering why do i smell coffee, then i see the coffee stain...😆
