Exactly some of the work I did, RF testing and analysis for an aerospace defense company with customers like NASA, Northrop, Boeing, BAE, etc. Your son would be fascinated. But with an EE at that level he can basically pick and chose. Good for him.

This thread was from years ago, but thanks for the memories. Would have considered submitting an application for work at SpaceX Starbase near Brownsville, TX but recently decided on retiring instead. I'm counting the months now. Your son would definitely have to get a security clearance to work in the defense industry like I did and yes it comes at a personal price - the SF86 form. Look that up and you'll likely be surprised at the questions they ask. And oh yeah sometimes they look into your history all the way back to 10+ years. The things you do may not be worth it for many. Btw I worked on some of that stuff at TI there in Stafford way back in the 80s as well. Boy this does bring back some memories.
