Any UK people ever go to Dunkin Donuts?

Can't even remember seeing one. But apparently they have an almost controversial coffee that I'm very curious to try...

... Its loaded with butter. Loaded with calories. But apparently its such a heavy hit of calories that it actually facilitates weight loss because it kicks hunger further down the road than you might expect....

.. Very curious to try one. Not sure if this city has a Dunken Donuts but I might get on a train to go somewhere I can get one if someone recommends it..

Might have to ask this question again when more UK people are up

I avoid all the pseudo-fashionable, American fast-food chains, having tried them over the years - cloned, over-packaged, over-priced, under-value.

Bit harsh @ArishMell

@Royrogers Fair enough but none impressed me.

To be fair to them across the pond, neither does Costa, which is or was a British chain just as gimmicky, up-price, down-value. I call it "Costalotta" but it is no more Italian than plain coffee is "American[o]". Costa started in London, but was later bought by Whitbreads (former English brewer and pub owner), so goodness what far-flung bunch of cash-grabbers owns it now!

[My brother-in-law told me of a relative's puzzlement over the "latte" he ordered in a cafe in Italy, containing no coffee!]

I once had a Subway salad roll, and I admit that was actually quite good and not too pricey. Although I was not impressed when having asked why no salad-cream was offered among the many sauces available, I was told the choices are set in New York! Yet there was nothing especially American about the food: it was only a ham-&-salad roll - and the leading maker of salad-cream in the UK, Heinz, is American...

TBh I don’t understand the fad of buying an expensive coffee and walking about with it while it goes cold
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Royrogers No, I don't either.. Especially when I can just as easily forget to drink it hot when I'm at home, and usually do!

At least if go to a cafe I sit down to drink it.

Buy one of those fancy frothy coffees with the squiggly leaf doodle on the surface, and most of it is milk froth anyway.
Their donuts are ok but I don't like their coffee at all.
Jm31xxx · 46-50, M
@Spoiledbrat so have you tried the butter coffee?
No. I've tried other coffee there and didn't like it. I don't think I'd be interested in butter coffee. @Jm31xxx

@empanadas I didn't know either. We don't have that here.

A google search seems to show that they do have dunkin donuts in England

@SW-User damn they lied then

It's slogan is America runs on Dunkin...not the UK
