Come to think of it every business I went into today people were rude to me for no damn reason

First at the resteraunt, then we went to another place for more drinks and the guy clearly didn't want to serve us. He just gave us some phone menu thing and told us to scan it with our phone like we were 5. I know we are an older group of people but damn I know what to do. Then he took forever to come back to take our order and the drinks were watered down and not worth the money. We decided to just pay and leave and not get anything else. What is it today with just people who want to treat me like crap around here. The only place I had a positive experience at was the coffee shop later on in the day. The guys working there were great and great to look at. Every other place seemed like they didn't want me there.

Perhaps the places you've been going to are crowded and the management has put the emphasis on speed. Get the customers in and out as fast as possible to create more turnover and profit.

That scan the menu thing is a relatively new technology in places where there is grog and high turnover.

Generally, the smaller the place, the better the service.

@hartfire The first place we went to was crowded but the last few places were not. I was looking through reviews of the places to see if anyone else had the same experiences we did. Turns out the second place we went to for drinks has quite the reputation for discrimination according to a lot of the reviews. Probably explains why we were pretty much ignored.

@hartfire Racial from the sounds of it. I saw a lot of reviews about people being turned away for not meeting the supposed dress code for this bar even though other types of people were wearing similar outfits and were let in. I saw one that said a white dude with torn jeans was let in but a black guy who had torn jeans wasn't let in. I saw a lot of reviews like that sadly.
