I think a Cosmo is slightly tarter because of the cranberry juice, but don't quote me on it .

cranberry generally

for something really interesting try a Harvey Wallbanger (vodka, orange juice and Galliano herbal liqueur)

Kamikaze has triple sec and simple syrup and is made with regular vodka

A proper Cosmo should have no simple syrup,. Citron flavored vodka, and uses Cointreu specifically over regular triple sec with a splash of cranberry


A Cosmo is basically a very specific recipe of a Kamikaze
