I need to start venturing out to other Chinese food places

I love Panda Express because I love Chinese food in general, but it’s by no means the best place for Chinese that I’ve had. There’s a couple places in Thousand Oaks that have really good Chinese food, but I’m living in Ventura now and wouldn’t necessarily want to drive 30 minutes for a meal. Plus I DoorDash a lot. I need to try some more local places, I just always end up getting Panda cause it’s familiar and I know I’m gonna like what I get. I’m a picky eater so I can be iffy about trying new foods and new restaurants, but I gotta take a chance on some more restaurants if I wanna find that really good Chinese food. Chinese is by far my favorite ethnic food (food ethnicity?) and I’d eat it way more if i could find more variety.

@anythingoes477 actually no, Taco Bell isn’t meant to be Mexican food. It’s Tex mex. Big difference

@Zeuro And Panda Express isn't meant to be Chinese food. Its meant to be soy flavored junk food that does not even remotely reflect what true Chinese food is.

@anythingoes477 it’s meant to be Chinese food more so than Taco Bell is meant to be Mexican food. Else they wouldn’t call it Panda Express. Everyone knows pandas are from China. You can said they didn’t do a good job of resembling Chinese food, but you can’t say they didn’t try. Such is not the case with Taco Bell
