I need to start venturing out to other Chinese food places

I love Panda Express because I love Chinese food in general, but it’s by no means the best place for Chinese that I’ve had. There’s a couple places in Thousand Oaks that have really good Chinese food, but I’m living in Ventura now and wouldn’t necessarily want to drive 30 minutes for a meal. Plus I DoorDash a lot. I need to try some more local places, I just always end up getting Panda cause it’s familiar and I know I’m gonna like what I get. I’m a picky eater so I can be iffy about trying new foods and new restaurants, but I gotta take a chance on some more restaurants if I wanna find that really good Chinese food. Chinese is by far my favorite ethnic food (food ethnicity?) and I’d eat it way more if i could find more variety.

I find Panda Express to have a lot of sugar.

The Chinese food I have eaten in a few different Chinatowns (Boston, New York, San Francisco) has been very different! Sadly, I have not lived near such a place in a long time. But I would hope that in California you could find the authentic cuisine .

You need to try actual Chinese/Thai type restaurants for their take away food, not the cheap 'noodle box' joints (though some of them are awesome).

Oh yea Panda Express isn't really even Chinese Food. Just like McDonalds is barely a burger joint. Try some locally owned places!
