You ever had a conversation with someone about something as mundane as talking about cheese.

And then came to realize it was a one upping competition instead of a conversation when they said “how about that! 😌”

I was just discussing cheese. not telling you which one is better and which one you should be eating and judging you for it.

I’m tired of the one upping. It makes everything feel like a subtle competition instead of a connection.

You found competition even in a conversation about cheese?

I consider myself lucky to have grown up with real cheese. I had no idea I was taking that entire cheese room at the grocery store for granted. My goal is education though. No one upping here!
