Breakfast in the UK

I’m sure this is so American of me, but for those of you live in the UK or are from there, do y’all call English muffins just muffins?

I could ask the same about Canadian bacon in Canada but I don’t want to sound too ignorant this morning.

In the UK, what Americans refer to as "English muffins" are typically just called "muffins." The term "English muffin" is primarily used in North America to distinguish this type of bread product from other varieties of muffins, which are typically sweeter and baked rather than griddled or toasted.

As for Canadian bacon in Canada, it's often referred to simply as "back bacon" or "peameal bacon." Again, the term "Canadian bacon" is more commonly used in the United States to describe this particular type of bacon.

It's perfectly okay to ask questions about cultural differences or terminology! It shows curiosity and a willingness to learn.
