Breakfast or Brunch.
Back in the day when I had friends, I loved going out with a group for breakfast. Its casual, cheaper , and more relaxed than dinner. Its just more fun and real.

I always thought that brunch was breakfast for people who tend to be fashionable late to events. That and clever marketing by the restaurant industry to capture the attention of that market segment.
I had those days too when I was younger--break and lunch out. I live in New Jersey currently though and honestly people up here mostly keep to themselves. Getting people to go out as a group would be really challenging up here.
