If you were once a practicing drunk did you prefer drinking at home or at a favorite dive bar?

Home. Bars were too expensive for me to drink as much as I wanted to.

I didn't mind having a few drinks in a bar but you can get so much more for your money if you buy stuff for home.

Thinking you need to define what "once a drunk" is.

Have I never been drunk? Yes.
Have I never been drunk over any lengths of time? No.

Never was drunk more than one day over months of time.

Yet I have been drunk many times.

I started kind of young by USA standards. Being in Germany in 1974 it was quite legal then for a 15 year old to be drunk. 😆

Heck, I even went there by myself, legally. And no one picked me up at the airport or train station either. 🤷🏻‍♂

Train station was under the airport in Frankfort. One transfer and a taxi ride got to my aunt's place, where I had to explain to my Aunt just who I was. In broken German. 😆

I'd drink at home far more often. I'm still an alcoholic, but I'm getting drunk less often these days.

When I drank, it was usually at home, but I would go to the bar about twice a week.

At home lol bars were expensive plus I like being home where I could do what I want or watch/listen to what I want

I was a drunk of legendary capacity. I'm rather surprised I survived.

only only at home. i never drank anything outside of home before, dont like it
