My brother used to make his own wine from the local elderberries that grew all around them in profusion. It was a very DRY wine. He likes dry wines. But he would use ANY local fruit.
He also learned how to make his own mead. As I recall, at one time, his entire house had all the hallways filled with antique crocks filled with the dregs in the fermentation stage, and with large wine bottles in the secondary stage, topped with little gas caps.
He made his own wine cellar using clay sewer tiles stacked on top of each other, and FILLED the cellar with his own product.
He was quiet a wino for a while...🤣🤣🤣
